AT&T Cheated Me

by | 26 Sep 2019

I complained many times against AT&T, still stayed with them because they gave me good prices for phones. This time they lied to me and I believe I won’t stay with them after my contract is over unless they give me what they promised.

First, they sold me Samsung Galaxy S10 for $900 (in June) when Best Buy was selling it for $750. I had to call them three times and every time I mentioned it to the sales representative, he/she told me that their price was $900. I took their “buy one get one free” promotion anyway because it was cheaper than buying two phones for $750 each. Now they are charging me for both phones $37.50 each per month for 24 months (24 x $37.50 = $900). However, they are returning $31.25 every month (24 x $31.25 = $750) to make one phone free. I didn’t understand for the first two months but when I called yesterday (Wednesday 25 September 2019) I was told I could only get up to $750 credit for a phone and he was sorry that no one explained it to me when I bought the phones.

I called three times before I bought my phones but no one ever mentioned me this fact that I can only get $750 back. Since it was “buy one get free” promotion I assumed one phone would be free. This dishonest corporation, AT&T, first sold me phones at their inflated price (Best Buy price was $750) and now when their turn to return me money they are paying me $750. I guess that is because they know very well that the phone (S10) is worth $750. Regardless, I do not care; I want what was promised to me – buy one get one free. I want AT&T to return me $37.50 per month for 24 months.
