When he was learning to speak instead of saying I went there my eldest son, Mahir, used to say I goed there. Inspired by his innocent mistake I created two more words tolded and sawed. For example, I tolded you to go to bed but I sawed you playing instead later. Then I saw a t-shirt that said “world’s bestest dad” and I came up with
good, gooder, goodest,
better, betterer, betterest,
best, bester, bestest,
worse, worser, worsest
Till this day, to respond to many of my questions Mahir says, “I don’t know” but he is the only one who should know about it, for example, question: why didn’t you write your journal today. Anyway, my usual response, “You know nothing about nothing, do you?”. As you can see we are enriching the English language as much as we can!
