“One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel García Márquez was one of the novels that we had to read in our undergraduate “classical literature” class (13 years ago). We read this as a class and discussed it. At the beginning, all the Spanish names in the book were very confusing to follow, especially who was talking when. However, at the end I loved this novel because of the fascinating story. I had to read many other novels in my two English and two literature classes but this book was the best. I still remember its main character Ursula. May the soul of the writer of this novel (Gabriel García Márquez) rest in peace.
