I thought working for our government is rewarding in itself. I am sorry to say that our legislatures love to belittle us every chance they get. We were deprived of any pay raise for the last two years when living and insurance costs went up. We already got 2% pay cut because of the payroll tax increase. Now, it is not only uncertain that we are going to get any pay raise this year but also we may get another 20% pay cut because of looming furloughs. This sequestration literally sickens me; I am losing sleep thinking of the pay cut. We didn’t do anything to deserve this punishment. At this point, it is only fair that they, those politicians who are putting us through this hardship, should share the pay cut as well, so that they can feel our pain.
