I bought two dahlia plants with 2/3 small flowers last summer from Walmart. After planting them in my front yard I was pleasantly surprised to see so many beautiful flowers during summer and fall. However, I didn’t know that they had bulbs underneath the plants, so this year when I was preparing a bigger spot for new plants in the front yard, I accidentally cut one set of bulbs and realized that they would grow this year too because I saw Walmart sells bulbs for different flowers in packets. I was extra careful with the second set of Dahlia bulbs and planted them after preparing the yard along with what left of the first set of bulbs. Surprisingly I got two plants again and they are even larger and stronger than last year. I took this photo (above) when dahlias just started to bloom. Currently both the plants are full of gorgeous flowers. I am very happy and I love them. I don’t remember how much I spent on them, but that money was very well spent on these Dahlia plants.
